APA is accepting proposals from authors registered for its 9th Congress who are interested in launching their books during the meeting, on July 16, 17 and 18.
Books published between 2023 and 2025 are eligible to be presented by its respective authors - or organizers, in the case of collective works.
Proposals must be sent by the authors themselves to the congress secretariat (apa2025.apantropologia@gmail.com) by May 30, 2025, and must include a full bibliographical reference, cover image and abstract (maximum 100 words). The subject line of the email must include the author's last name and the reference “APA2025BOOKS”.
For each of the days of the congress, a 30-minute block is planned for book launches, after lunchtime, just before the afternoon panels begin. Each author will have a maximum of 5 minutes to present their book.
Due to space and time constraints, not all proposals can be accepted. From the submissions received, 15 books will be selected, with a maximum of 5 presented each day.
Authors are responsible for transporting and storing their books (or coordinating with publishers for delivery to the congress venue). They are also responsible for organizing their book presentations.
